We're not your typical architecture firm - we get our hands dirty with the industrial past while building something fresh for tomorrow.
Started in 2009 when we realized Toronto's industrial gems were getting bulldozed for cookie-cutter condos. That didn't sit right with us. So we figured, why not show people there's another way?
We've spent the last decade-plus proving that old forge buildings, warehouses, and factories aren't just relics - they've got bones that modern construction can't match. Yeah, it's trickier working with century-old brick and timber, but that's where the magic happens.
Now we're a tight crew of architects, heritage consultants, and sustainability nerds who've restored over 40 industrial sites across Ontario. We've learned that respecting what came before doesn't mean you can't push forward.
Look, we could fill this with corporate speak, but here's what actually matters when we show up to a project.
Every rivet tells a story. We don't gut history - we honor it while making it work for today.
The greenest building's the one already standing. We retrofit smart, not wasteful.
We geek out over joinery and material science. Details matter when you're building for generations.
Old buildings, new tech. We're always testing how tomorrow's tools can save yesterday's structures.
We're architects, engineers, historians, and problem-solvers who happen to love rusty I-beams and exposed brick a bit too much.
Principal Architect & Founder
Started sketching factory buildings as a kid growing up near Hamilton's steel mills. Studied at Waterloo, got obsessed with adaptive reuse in grad school, and never looked back. She's the one who'll spend three hours debating the right mortar mix for 1920s brickwork.
"There's no better feeling than seeing a condemned building come back to life."
Heritage Consultant & Co-Founder
His grandfather was an ironworker at a forge in Sault Ste. Marie, so yeah, this stuff's in his blood. Dave's the guy who knows every heritage designation rule, every historical society contact, and somehow remembers which buildings had which forges installed in 1903.
"Every building's got a story - our job's making sure that story continues."
We'd love to hear about it. Whether it's a full restoration or just figuring out what's possible, let's talk.
